Vaccinate the Great Lakes State
These funds can be used on innovative or existing programming based on the strategies below:
- Community Vaccination Mobilization and Outreach Events (virtual/in person)
- Vaccination communication strategies and educational materials.
- Removal of barriers for vaccination
- Provision of incentives to entice vaccinations.
With the pandemic disproportionality impacting certain populations, organizations serving the Priority Populations below will be prioritized:
- Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC)
- Undocumented or Under-documented
- Rural area residents
- Persons with Disabilities
- LGBTQ+ Individuals
- Youth
- Those living below the ALICE threshold
- Those in highly congregated areas such as correctional facilities etc.
Organizations that are recognized under Section 501c (3) of the Internal Revenue Code or that have a fiscal sponsor that is a 501c (3) nonprofit organization and serve Kalamazoo County or Greater Battle Creek residents are eligible to apply for grants.
